These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Anticancer.ca website and its tools (the “Site”), operated by Anticancer.ca Inc. (“Anticancer.ca,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Not Medical Advice

The content on the Site - including articles, nutrient and cancer-topic pages, generated meal plans, and AI assistant responses - is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or the guidance of your physician or another qualified health provider. Always seek the advice of your healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition or before making changes to your diet, supplements, or treatment. Never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you read on the Site. Reliance on any information on the Site is solely at your own risk.

2. Eligibility

The Site is intended for adults. By using it, you represent that you are the age of majority in your province, state, or country of residence, or that you are using the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

  • interfere with or disrupt the Site, its security, or its underlying services;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems;
  • use automated means to scrape or copy content except as permitted by law;
  • submit false information or another person’s personal information without their permission; or
  • use the Site or its content in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or infringing.

4. AI Tools and Generated Content

The Meal Plan Generator and Anticancer AI assistant produce automated content that may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not suitable for your circumstances. Generated meal plans and AI responses are informational only, are not individualized medical or nutritional advice, and should be reviewed with a qualified professional before you act on them. You are responsible for the information you submit to these tools.

5. Intellectual Property

The content, design, and branding of the Site are owned by Anticancer.ca Inc. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish, distribute, or create derivative works from the content without our prior written permission.

6. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site links to and embeds third-party content and services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Anticancer.ca Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, its content, or its tools. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anticancer.ca Inc. from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to applicable law, you agree that the courts located in Ontario, Canada will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
